Donkey Kong, also referred to as DK, is a character that has appeared in many Mario series games. He is a powerful Kong that resides on Donkey Kong Island. He was one of the first enemies that Mario fought in the arcade game Donkey Kong. Since his original debut, Donkey Kong has appeared in his own series of games made by Nintendo, including the Donkey Kong Country series.
