[edit] History
[edit] Early Games
The Dry Bones species originally appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 as undead enemies. They walked slowly on all fours. If Mario stomped on them, they'd fall apart and come back to life about 5 seconds later. They could only be defeated by hammers.
[edit] Later Games
Dry Bones' first platformer appearance is in Super Mario Galaxy. Dry Bones usually walks around slowly, but when he sees Mario, Dry Bones charges at him. Like usual, Dry Bones fall when stomped on, and get back up a couple of seconds later.
[edit] Sport Games
Dry Bones appears in many sport games. Dry Bones appeared in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, both times unlockable and very light. Dry Bones appears in Mario Strikers Charged. Dry Bones' latest appearance was in Super Mario Sluggers. There are 4 varieties of Dry Bones. Dry Bones uses a large bone to bat. Dry Bones has a very strong batting power, and average fielding and running.
[edit] In Mario Party
Dry Bones first appears in the Mario Party universe in Mario Party 7 where he was also playable for the first time. He was an unlockable character and had to be purchased in the Duty Free Shop for 1000 Mileage Points. His special orb is the Magic Orb, and his partner is Boo. Dry Bones reappears in Mario Party 8 as a playable character. In Mario Party DS, he is a boss of the Boss Minigame called Hexoskeleton, and is a hazard on DK's Treetop Temple.
